This is one of my favourites. Michael Miller Flower Shower from Gaga Fabrics. Got some co-ordinating lining too. I love it!
This is Rocket Rascals, again from Gaga fabrics. I plan on making some zippered pouches and pencil cases and pincushions with it. I think its soooo cute!!
Got these 3 from a local fabric shop for making (yet another) bag! I think they are really pretty together.
This is oilcloth. I love Radley stuff so really like this. Been wanting to use oilcloth for ages so will be giving it a go soon (although Ive been told I should really have a Teflon sewing foot (which I dont) so not sure how it will turn out!!)
Must stop buying and start sewing!! Happy days! - Pootle Flump xx
p.s Forgot to remind everyone its Crafty Sunday so pop over to Me and Ma's blog to see what everyone has been up to. I posted my Crafty Sunday stuff (my bag) a day too early! x
You little tinker, I love those fabrics you got I am green with envy! If you are sewing oilcloth just put some masking tape on the underside of your usual foot, that seems to work for me.

Thanks for that Kandi. I never even thought of doing that! Hope you had a great holiday! x
ReplyDeleteI love the rocket rascals too allways looks great whatever it is made up into :)
ReplyDeleteNice fabric -I have the little doggy fabric in a decor weight as opposed to oilcloth, I made my mum a lunchbag from it as she has a westie!! Thanks for commenting on my blog! ;)
ReplyDeleteI understand your problem - thsoe fabrics are just too irrestible. *reminds self not to visit fabric shops*
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment, on the subject of hexies give them a go you will enjoy it I'm sure. Have a look at Texas freckles blog http://www.texasfreckles.com/2010/03/hexagon-charm-quilt-piece-along.html, I got the template from there, you use little scraps of cloth and sew them round the papers, then take the papers ont once you have sewn them together. Its very addictive!

ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely fabrics. I share your addiction! Lynda xx
ReplyDeleteI would buy the proper pliers i have tried the ones from home and they are no good. To start off I would buy something like this:
ReplyDeletehttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/JEWELLERY-MAKING-KIT-BEADS-TIGERTAIL-FINDINGS-PLIERS-/260651713579?pt=UK_Crafts_JewelleryMaking_GL
I have not used this seller so can't recommend but that is a good set to get you started and cheap too!
Hope this helps

Me again :)
ReplyDeleteThe three in one are a good idea but what if you need one to hold and one to wind (see my pics), I usually have two pairs on the go at the same time so would not go for something like that.

I think I have the same problem! Maybe we should start a support group?! :)
ReplyDeleteHi - I am Helen and I too have serious fabric addiction. I did in fact run a fabric addict swap earlier this year. It went so well I may well repeat it next year.xx
